Rescue Squirrel
I want to start off by saying Simon (the squirrel) was only with us for a week until a proper wildlife rehabber was found. And he has since been introduced back into the wild.
The poor baby was found in a friend's auto shop. We gave him a good 36 hours alone in the dark, quiet shop before intervening.
He was a friendly wee guy and we were sad to see him go but he was wild and deserved to be free.

Re: Rescue Squirrel
Agreed, you did the right thing.
What a freaking adorable baby! What kind of squirrel is it, its not the gray squirrel we have here in CT, looks like it *could* be a red squirrel (we have those here too, seeing as its mixed forest, but they're rarer).

Re: Rescue Squirrel
From what I gathered from the rehabber he was indeed a red squirrel (which are rare-ish here) so she was glad to be able to release him back into the wild.
